Correction and Retraction Policy
Didascein (Journal of English Education) is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record. Published articles are not altered silently; any change is made through one of the formal notices below, following the COPE Retraction Guidelines.
Types of Notices
| Notice | When it is used | Who initiates |
|---|---|---|
| Erratum | An error introduced by the journal during production (e.g., typesetting or metadata) | Journal |
| Corrigendum | A significant error by the authors that does not invalidate the findings (e.g., an incorrect figure, table, or affiliation) | Authors or journal |
| Expression of Concern | Inconclusive evidence of misconduct, or an investigation that is still ongoing | Journal |
| Retraction | Unreliable findings due to major error or misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or unethical research | Authors or journal |
Procedure
Requests for correction or retraction are sent to the Editor-in-Chief at didascein_journal@univ-tridinanti.ac.id. The editorial board assesses the request, consults the authors, and makes a decision within 30 days.
How Notices Are Published
Each notice is published as a separate item in the next available issue, is linked to the original article, and is assigned its own DOI where applicable. For retractions, the original article remains online but is clearly marked "RETRACTED" on every page, and the retraction notice states the reason and who initiated it.
Articles are removed entirely only in exceptional legal cases (e.g., defamation or infringement of rights); in such cases, the metadata and a notice explaining the removal remain online.
