Respon Tanaman Terung Hijau (Solanum melongena L.) Akibat Pemberian Pupuk Organik Cair (POC) pada Berbagai Jarak Tanam

This study aims to review the response of green eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L.) due to the application of liquid organic fertilizer (POC) at various planting distances. This research has been carried out in the Experimental Garden Land of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tridinanti University located in Pulau Semambu Village, North Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatra Province. The study has been conducted from November 2023 to January 2024. The method design used was an experimental method using Group Random Design (RBD) with 6 (six) treatments and 4 (four) repeats. The number of plants studied in the experimental unit is 3 (three) sample plants. The treatment studied was J1 = planting distance 70 cm x 40 cm without POC, J2 = planting distance 70 cm x 60 cm without POC, J3 = planting distance 70 cm x 80 cm without POC, J4 = planting distance 70 cm x 40 cm using POC "Growing" 4 ml / liter water, J5 = planting distance 70 cm x 60 cm using POC "Growing" 4 ml / liter water, and J6 = planting distance 70 cm x 80 cm using POC "Growing" 4 ml/liter of water. The parameters observed are plant height (cm), number of branches (branches), age of flowering plants 60% (days), number of fruits per plant (fruit), fruit weight per plant (kg) and fruit weight per plot (kg). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of liquid organic fertilizer with various planting distances has a good effect on the growth and yield of green eggplant plants (Solanum melongena L.). The application of liquid organic fertilizer (4 ml / liter of water) with a plant distance of 70 cm x 60 cm (J5) produce plant height 43.41cm, number of branches 4.59 branches, age of flowering plants 42.25 days, number of fruits per plant 19.60 pieces, fruit weight per plant 3.07 kg per plant, and fruit weight per plot 27.79 kg.
