Abstract

Tourism is an activity that cannot be separated from human needs, especially to relieve fatigue. The city of Palembang has a lot of great potential to attract tourists, starting from the industrial sector, such as improving the quality of industrial products, historical buildings, to the culinary sector. The design and planning of the Palembang City tourist center in the culinary sector is very appropriate because it can become a center for culinary buying and selling which aims to be a promotional tool that has an impact on improving Palembang City's MSMEs and also as a solution to preserving all types of Palembang City culinary delights. The application of the theme in this design is by using a neo-vernacular architectural concept approach, which is expected to be a design style that still blends with the culture and functional activities of the building
